Lawyers - An overview

The term "lawyer" can have many meanings, depending on where (what country) that is used. But in general, a lawyer is a person who practices the law, was trained in the operation of law, and those who offer help to others in litigation. A time of special study is required to qualify for the role of a lawyer, according to the system in many countries.

The lawyers often have to bear the brunt of the criticism, because sometimes it canrepresent the parties without scruples, because their training allows them to use a jargon that can not be understood by someone without a degree of legal training because they are equipped with heavy association with politics, and perhaps because they seem much more withdrawn at the end of the month. Separately, they remain an essential part of 'institution, and that action remains one of the most desirable of all professions.

Because the law is a varied and diverse needs of society,There are many different types of lawyers. There are two types of law, and can therefore be classified by what type they specialize. controversial law in criminal law, as we know, with two sides facing each other in court for a judicial system that is (and depending on where you are, the jury). Not the controversial law on the transport (transfer of ownership of property between two parties) and the area of succession (transfer of ownership ofdeceased).

Lawyers can be considered as they offer different themes such as divorce, taxes, insurance, injury, fraud, embezzlement, business, international issues, software, wrongful death, personal injury, medical malpractice, employment ... the list goes on and is as varied as the subjects that the law is intended to cover.

The various forms of liability insurance

Among the many assurances that have been found in the market today, a liability is one of the most popular because it is cheaper than most. Other forms of insurance available in the free market today are much more expensive because they need to cover a number of areas best. Take a classic example, auto insurance pays for both your vehicle and all other vehicles involved vehicle /in the collision, including damage to any property or medical expenses due to injuries to you or another party. Considering all aspects in this example, as in other types of insurance, liability insurance is much cheaper.

However, this type of insurance covers only the loss of the counterparty. You, as owner of the policy and protect your home. The particularity of this insurance is that it protectsfrom you is held responsible for damages the other party.

There are several species in this class, as:

General liability: This is very similar to car insurance companies is a cover. Protects a company against claims by third parties.

D & O Liability: This is for "directors and 'liability insurance and includes acts or omissions of those in positions of director or officer. A whole enterprise is notresponsible for statements, actions, omissions, or other errors that are the responsibility of the director or officer. This liability insurance covers situations in these areas.

responsibility of the employer: this policy is also known as employee compensation, and is a form of compulsory insurance in all business operators. With the name that sounds like it is designed to protect the worker - which to some extent, butProtects the employer, particularly in case of injury, occupational disease, accident or incident that the employee can sue the company.

Professional Liability: This insurance is to protect recognized as "professionals" or "experts" in a certain area, which can not be protected by a general responsibility for their professionalism. When someone is considered a professional, is associated with a higher standard and therefore hold moreresponsibility to its customers. So he would need more than what a liability coverage could offer. deliberate damage and contractual obligations are generally not subject to this type of insurance.

Based on the above brief explanation of the different policies, one can sum up the meaning of responsibility as follows:

It can be any type of risk insurance that protects an individual or a company that in whichcan be sued or held legally responsible for something as malpractice, personal injury or negligence. This insurance covers both the legal costs and possible legal disbursements for which the insured is legally liable if found responsible.

This is a simpler definition - insurance that protects a person or entity for claims brought by another party.

The minimums are $ 25,000 for damage to another person. Then there's $ 50,000 for all other injuries. You have up to $ 10,000 perdamage to property of another person. Sometimes it's easy to wonder why certain standards are in place, but it is important to follow the laws. Minima are fixed instead of statistics over the years. The statistics speak for themselves.

After the insurance in place is not the only thing you need to make sure you're protected.

You must ensure that evidence is auto insurance in Washington in the vehicle. It is not just a receiptyou paid. We recommend that you make sure you pull the card out who is your insurance company. The Media As Big Mother

Since Orwell's 1984, politics and it's talking heads (and I don't mean the defunct 80's one-hit wonder) have long been labeled "big brother". Especially in today's atmosphere of vastly opposing political opinions where so much attention is fixed on big brother's every tic and twitch, very little attention is paid to his momma. The media has become such an all-encompassing force in our daily retinue, indeed into the very fiber of our lives that it's treated like just another mundane phenomenon, very much like the weather or the outcome of a rumor about your neighbors; in other words information is received, and barely digested before being tossed aside. The media is not criticized with the refined and fabrication-sensitive tools required when dealing with such a powerful and influential entity. Not that thinking men and women aren't constantly in search of outside perspectives; when their schedules allow that is. Let's be honest, most of the time individuals are far too rapped-up in their pursuit of financial superiority and emotional fulfillment, as well they should, to see the media for the social, political and financial vacuum that it is. Whatever happened to personal opinion and social perspective? (Without being labeled the often smirk-and-pity-inducing catchphrase of "liberal". To considering information for yourself and filtering it through your own personal beliefs and morals allowing for a critical digestion and magnified inspection of the barrage of opinions bombarding our already over-burdened consciousness?

Let's first understand the meaning of the word itself, as the successful solution to any riddle lies in its basic definition and fundamental rules. The dictionary occupying my frazzled desk describes the media as "the means of communication, as radio and television, newspapers, and magazines, that reach or influence people widely". Media is a word that stems from the root word "medium", intended to describe the go-between, or method of relating information from one point to another by using a "medium" such as newspaper, radio or television etc. Tuning into CNN or FOX NEWS is enough proof that this is no longer the case, as these largest of news media entities do not simply act as a venue for information but go one step further by producing the product they are selling, rather than just relating it which is what most people still believe their "news" is doing. Were always hearing the famous tagline of "absolute power, corrupts absolutely" when speaking of big brother, but not unlike the power of representative rule the power of representative influence is just as easily corrupting and corruptible. News media behemoths such as these are divisions of much more significant corporate entities like AOL/Time Warner, and News CORP. to names a few. Corporations do business and if we consider what Etiquette of The Banker (circa. 1778) tells us, "First rule of business, protect your investment" the primary objective of these organizations is to make money, not cater to an information hungry public with straight and truthful news.

As a few weeks of living in the world can reveal, money and the truth have a way of conflicting. Consider this hypothetical situation involving the fictional station of ABN (The Always Broadcasting Network): ABN's mammoth bureaucratic infrastructure of divisions, and district offices not to mention financial entities and economic vacuums, all the things that keep a growing corporation healthy and happy, is having a difficult year in meeting it's inflated operating budget and needs the account of fictional corporate sponsor All-Mart. All-Mart is looking to branch-out its foreign operations in third-world countries as part of its globalization strategy, but one of the countries on its (for lack of a better word) hit-list, is currently at war with the home country of ABN. Now, if an All-Mart rep. kindly asks an ABN official to tone-down the severity of its war broadcast in an effort to prevent jittery All-Mart globalization-strategy investors from fleeing in panic at the thought of entering a blood-bath, will that ABN rep. pound the desk in an incredulous display of moral taken-abackness, and tell the All-Mart official to get his sticky fingers out of his office or simply look into what could be done about the difficulty his business partner is experiencing? Who's to say really? But it's a sure bet that individuals as well as corporations can often feel a debt of gratitude, if not loyalty, to their source(s) of income and when any entity that owes large degrees of responsibility to the public is faced between continuing to fulfill that responsibility or continuing the pursuit of its own existence, longevity must play more of a key role in corporate mandates and over-all strategy. It is a brutal reality and fundamental law of any living organism to feel the need to protect its own existence above all things.

Let's shift our attention away from ABN's moral dilemma (morality and finance do often make for much confusion and consideration, a tough one really) and look to other forms of media. The modern phenomenon of "convenience" through electronic gadgetry such as mp3's, they're players, PDAs, Blackberrys, portable DVDs, laptops, cellphones etc. and the message-driven media they transmit, receive, download, upload, and file-share such as music, films, T.V. shows and radio broadcasts. "Techmology", as ALI G so aptly coined it, opens opportunities for obviously un-precedent amounts of communication and as Big Mother's various mediums tell us how to dress, what to drive, where to work, how to think, what to eat, where to vacation and who to befriend and date (yes, who you go out with can easily be broken down into a series of magazine adds and far-fetched sociological "studies") one cant help but feel a little Punk'd. Big mother is a demanding and controlling parent with many un-realistic expectations and few rewards. Big mother doesn't mean to abuse you, but continues to do so mentally by ignoring your personal needs, despite how much she cares. In the global village of the age of information the chief hut belongs to Big Momma and no one is safe from her influence, let alone her disregarding demands. Truesay.

No matter the situation it's clear that the media as a whole will not be going anywhere soon, as even Medea, Euripides' child-slaying mother, said, "I am the mother of your children. Whither can I fly, since all Greece hates the barbarian?". Before you tune-out, as years of servile acquiescence have worn your attention span to a small un-gripping nub, consider this. Medea slew her own children in a fit of rage; does not the media slay our individuality and personal beliefs, not to mention our thought-processes a little everyday? She is constantly and eternally present: scolding our failures, guilting us into submission, reminding us of our weaknesses, displaying her power and glamour, and very rarely rewarding the chosen amongst us by including them as part of the family (the lucky ones who land the much sought-after jobs in radio, music, advertising, marketing, film and television). Surely its easy to see the media as a demanding, judgmental, often insincere, tyrannical, insensitive, controlling, and self-righteous mother that often claims and purports to have our best interests at heart but looses sight of just that.

Rest assured that there is hope, as any orphaned and abused child can support, when one comes from a house-hold of poor parentage a solution is attainable. Be your own mother by planting the seeds of self-parenting, watering them than watching them grow into bountiful plants of self-satisfaction. Sounds like a daily affirmation, but is a plausible solution for combating the onslaught of conventionalism and anti-conventionalism (which has become a common mind-set).You can do this by objectively observing the demands of your life and personally meeting those demands. For example, instead of letting Big Mother tell you who to date, look at your situation and genuinely deduce the qualities you wish your life companion to have. Release yourself from the stigma of, and reliance on, self-description and self-definition from outside sources by controlling your own mind-set. Has it not been said that you can either command yourself or be commanded by others? Educate yourself by reading books, magazines, and newspapers, listening to music, watching films and taking from them what benefits you. Not what should benefit you. If life is a quick roller-coaster ride, do we wish to hang on to the safety bar, hunched-over in fear while watching the person next to us raise their hands in the air, screaming in exhilaration and excitement when your deepest instincts tell you to do just the same?

Big Brother is always watching while Big Mother is always instructing and they will continue to do so 'till the last episode of the Simpsons aka eternity, but we will not be there to see that day. Let us just enjoy the ride while it lasts the way we feel we need to and ignore the naggings of a Mother that does not understand what it is like to be us. As anyone can tell us about parenting, it is the wisest children that take the good of their parents and throw out the bad. Smart kids.

A Guide to Buying iPad Insurance

The trouble with purchasing iPad insurance is that people put off arranging it. After all, if you are an optimist, you probably do not want to think about bad things happening to your possessions.

But being an optimist is no defense against accidents and the criminal behavior of others. If you add up the potential cost of replacing your valuable possessions, you may find that insuring them might be the responsible thing to do.

If you have an iPad, the chances are that you use it all the time. Perhaps you may not even realize how much you have come to rely on the gadget. Without iPad insurance, you would face the prospect of paying for a replacement yourself if it was stolen, or going without one (subject to meeting the terms and conditions of the policy to make a successful claim).

Risks that insurance may cover

The list of risks that iPad cover providers may typically cover read like an iPad owner's nightmare. Nevertheless, it may be worth checking that any policy you are considering covers:
- theft;
- accidental damage;
- breakdown (outside of the manufacturer's warranty period); and
- data backup.

Looking at the list alone may not be enough. Instead, look further into the policy's details to understand what the product does and does not cover. For instance, does the policy cover accidental damage even if the accident involved liquids? Some insurers specifically exclude this, so pay attention if you are a regular iPad user in bars and cafes!
Also, your insurer may also impose various limitations, exclusions and conditions on your iPad insurance. For instance, you may find that the policy only pays out for the theft of an iPad from a vehicle if the gadget had been securely stowed in the boot. Further, there may be a limit on the age of the gadgets that can be insured on the iPad policy.

What about the price?

You may think that looking at the price may be the simplest issue of them all to take into account. But you may wish to consider looking past any annual premium that is quoted to you to consider:

- whether the payments can be spread monthly. Depending on your circumstances, you may wish to consider this from a cash flow perspective;
- whether the insurer offers a free month's cover at the start of the policy;
- whether any additional gadget insurance may be available; and
- what the excess that you would need to pay out on any successful claim is.

Depending on how often you use your iPad, you may also wish to bear in mind the length of time different insurers take to provide a replacement if yours is stolen or damaged. iPad insurance providers may vary on this point, buy some may typically deliver a new phone to you within 48 hours of making a successful claim.

Insurance Claims - Dealing With Adjusters

Insurance adjusters' claims handling can go very well, or it can be a nightmare. But part of the responsibility is YOURS!

Have you ever thought about what kind of service you should expect from the adjuster when you file a claim?

A professional, intelligent, honest adjuster is a pleasure to work with. He treats you with respect and gives his best effort to complete his investigation as quickly as possible. He is patient, knowing that you are not familiar with the claims process. He understands how upset you might be about your claim. He senses that you have already been frightened by the loss itself, and now may be frightened about the claims process.

He explains the process to you before he begins it, and invites you to be an active participant, not a spectator. He sits down with you and reads your policy with you, and explains it as he goes. He makes sure that you have his contact phone numbers, so you can get your questions answered when he's not there. He answers his phone messages promptly.

The professional claims adjuster must have empathy for people. I'm not sure if that is a skill that can be taught with a book or a class. Some of the empathy must come from a person's upbringing. Compassion for another human being who is hurting or afraid must come from deep within a person. Even having said this, it is not unusual for a person to have his compassion and empathy stretched thin by the things that happen in life.

Haven't you heard a story from a friend or relative about how badly the insurance company treated them when they had an insurance claim? I think most people have.

In today's world, poor customer service is nearly accepted as the norm. Sadly, we are overjoyed and amazed when we get good customer service. We're astounded and tell all our friends when we get great customer service.

Most people I've met who had a loss, and filed a claim, never thought for a minute about what kind of service they would get from the adjuster that the insurance company assigned to handle their claim. But, I'm writing today to make a couple of points that will be CRUCIAL to you collecting all the claims settlement money you're entitled to collect:

1. The pool of qualified, trained adjusters is drying up.

I still read industry magazines. In the latest edition of Claims Magazine, and in the latest edition of Best's Review, there were articles stating that the insurance claims adjusters nationwide, as a group, were marching on toward retirement years. They went on to say that there is a huge concern in the insurance industry that the most capable, most experienced adjusters are leaving the industry, and that there is a growing shortage of experienced adjusters in the North American market today. The articles also said that these days, insurance companies are spending less time and money training adjusters.

If the insurance companies are worried, YOU as a consumer should be DOUBLE WORRIED!!

Why?

Because inexperienced adjusters won't be as thorough in the claims process. They won't have years of experience to fall back on. They won't know policy language and the claims process as well as the "old guys."

Have you heard the old saying, "The Devil is in the details?" I've said over and over that the claims process is where the devil hides. Most of my book is about teaching consumers that they must educate THEMSELVES about the claims process. The claims process is NOT in the policy. The insurance companies will not tell you...the consumer...about the process, because if they did, the insurance settlement amounts would skyrocket!

You want a couple examples?

First: You're in a traffic accident, and your car is damaged. The adjuster will likely tell you to go get three estimates from three different repair shops. They'll want to pick the lowest one, or the middle one as the agreed estimate. However, there's NOT ONE WORD in your policy that forces you to get three estimates. That is a waste of YOUR time. You should get an estimate from the repair shop of YOUR choice, not the insurance company's choice. Then, the adjuster should work from your estimate. By the way, if your insurance company has "approved repair facilities," you should know that they work for a huge discount, and regularly use cheap, aftermarket auto parts...which leads me to the next example.

Second: The insurance industry is totally sold on "aftermarket" parts for auto repair. These parts may fit your car, and may work on your car, but they are of inferior quality to the original equipment manufactured parts the automaker used to build your car. You should NEVER allow the insurance company to insist on aftermarket parts to repair your car. There is NOTHING in your policy that gives the insurance company permission to use cheap parts to repair your car. In fact, most policies guarantee you "like kind and quality" repairs. Aftermarket auto parts save the insurance company bunches of money, but only at your expense.

2. Knowing that the talent pool is shrinking, it's more important than EVER to make sure your adjuster is qualified to handle your claim.

In Chapter 7 of my book I wrote at length about the qualifications of an adjuster. I also wrote about what level of service you should expect from the insurance adjuster who handles your claim.

You should interview your adjuster and find out his education and claims experience. If you do not believe that your adjuster has the education and experience to handle your claim, you should call his supervisor and request that your claim be transferred to a more experienced adjuster. Further, I say in Chapter 7 that if the adjuster has less than two years' experience, ask for another adjuster. If the insurance company refuses, call your state's Department of Insurance and file a complaint.

Don't allow yourself to be bullied by the insurance companies. But, that will require YOU to take responsibility for YOUR OWN education.

If you take control of your claims, you WILL add hundreds or even thousands more dollars to your claim settlements!

Street Children - A Social Problem

The exact number of street children is impossible to quantify but the bulk of them, predominantly can be found in developing economies where poverty thrives. You can see them begging on the streets, rapping on car windows for alms. Their clothes are messy and smelly because they rummage on trash bins for food scraps. Some huddle on street corners, sniffing solvents, some of them are measly selling of anything that they can earn while others resort to stealing, prostitution and some other petty crimes.

By just looking at it, one can't help not to paint a grim picture as to what future of these children can hold. Nonetheless, their future really depends on how well that country protects and allows them to achieve their full potentials and abilities in order to make them the future productive citizens can be, a vital prime mover in nation building. Street children are denied many of life's basic needs. They depend entirely on their own ability to fend for themselves. To ignore them means admitting to have failed the responsibility to protect and provide a decent future for them.

Unfortunately, most governments in developing economies neither cannot afford to house them nor provide their basic needs due to lack of funds and budgetary constrains. However, some developing economies are fortunate enough, where there are non governmental organizations (NGO) and charitable institutions who are attending to this kind of situation. They are usually financed by philanthropists and individual Samaritans who had invested their unwavering commitment and attend to this marginalized sector of our society. At any rate, they need to be supported all the way for their noble gesture and good programs they envisioned towards the general welfare of these children.

The main objective of their programs is aimed to provide education, health care and counseling which can obviously give a meaningful difference into the lives of these children. Counseling give the children the moral revival and renewal to think about on how they shall lead their lives for a better future. Health care provides them the physical and mental conditioning necessary for their well being in order to be productive. Through education they are rebuilding their lives again not only on how to be an asset to society but how they can manage to be the prime contributor to the country's economic growth, development and prosperity as well.

Sad to say, that the problem of street children is still far from over though. Transforming the developing economies into a fully develop ones is one of the key to eradicate them. After all, poverty is still the main cause as to why the bulk of these children are still on the streets.

Small Business Insurance - Who Needs It?

Who Needs Small Business Insurance, Anyway?

You do! Small business insurance is one of the most critical components of planning for your new venture. Whether your business involves working in a high-risk environment like heavy construction, or a relatively low-risk one such as running an in-home consulting business, you are continually exposed to liabilities that can put your business and your future at risk.

Some business owners are required to maintain insurance coverage. Restaurants, hotels, health care facilities...they all have minimal limits that are imposed upon them by their industry, municipal entities, or their landlords. But what about your small business? You may be retired or just starting out, maybe you're considering using your knowledge of antiques or your talent as an artist to start your own shop or gallery. How risky can that possibly be?

Assess the Risks

In today's world, risk management is no longer the exclusive domain of large corporations. Every small business is different, with a unique set of risks. An experienced small business insurance agency can advise you on what your present and future needs may be, and keep you up to date on any Federal, State, or Local regulatory requirements you may be subject to.

A good insurance agent will review your company needs; an excellent one will take the time to visit your company and discuss your requirements with you directly.

Be Prepared!

As your business grows, your small business insurance coverage should grow with you. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement and activity as success begins to take root, and insurance is the LAST thing on your mind...until you need it. Make sure when you choose an agent, you are getting someone with your best interest in mind, who will continually monitor where you are and make suggestions when necessary.

Are you taking on employees? Opening another shop or office? Considering additional human resource programs? Taking on additional risk? You may need to look at several types of coverage:

Workers' Compensation

Contractor's Liability

License Bonds, Court Bonds, Performance or Fidelity Bonds

Employee Benefit Administration

The Benefits - Because Things happen

The benefit of having good small business insurance is most obvious when the unexpected happens.

Don't be caught off guard...without proper coverage your business liability can extend to your personal life as well. Knowing you have the right coverage up front offers you both peace of mind and security. When and if you have a loss or a setback, you will be able to continue moving forward with confidence, and the tools you need to stay in business!

There is no doubt about it - Insurance can be complicated. There is so much to understand and so many details that it can quickly become overwhelming! The very best option? Find a qualified small business insurance agency you trust - one that is familiar with you, your local community and is respected within the insurance industry as well.

Buy To Let Property Insurance

Buy-to-let property insurance, some times also known as residential property owners insurance, is needed if you own houses and/or flats to tenants - either on a short-term or long-term basis. Ordinarily you can buy cheap buy-to-let property insurance in the event that you rent five or less properties in the UK than is the case if you rent more than five properties, as in the case of the former you are seen as a small time landlord with a small business, whereas in the latter you are seen as a full blown property-owning company.

Whether you plan to rent five or less properties, or five or more properties, is, however, a side issue, as in both cases you'll need to ensure that you have at least the minimum level of required insurance in order to protect yourself. Consequently, the number of properties you own will have a bearing only insofar as the insurance premiums are concerned. That said, if you are looking to become a property owner with a letting business, then you need to ensure that you have the following minimum provisions in your insurance policy:

Fire

Insuring against any fire on the property

Natural Disaster (also known as tempest insurance)

Insuring against natural disasters that may occur, such as a storm where the winds tear off your roof or guttering

Theft

Which is especially important if you are renting out fully furnished properties. In the event that you are renting out unfurnished premises, you may wish to have a discussion with your tenants about whether or not they should have home contents insurance

Public Liability Insurance

This should be a must as it will protect you against any claims your tenants or any third parties (such as their guests) may have for injuries they suffer while on your property

Lost Earnings

There may well be times when your property remains empty; say, for example, while you look for new tenants. If you are relying on the rental income from your tenants to repay the money you borrowed to purchase the property, you need to ensure you have lost earnings insurance to compensate you during this period

Employee Liability Insurance

If you have employees who will visit the property for you to repair any damage, etc. or to collect the rental payments, then you need to make sure that you have employee liability insurance in case they get injured while carrying out their assigned task

Legal Expenses Insurance

As a property owner you may find the need from time to time to retain the services of a lawyer; for example, if your tenants refuse to pay their rent or move out of the property at a specified agreed time - when you may need to get an eviction notice. As legal expenses in the UK can be expensive, you should consider insuring against this risk by having in place a provision of legal expenses in your insurance policy.

Although the above are basically the bare minimums you need in your buy-to-let property insurance policy, you can also tailor these types of insurance policies to meet your particular needs, so make sure that you talk through your circumstances with your insurance provider, especially if you anticipate expanding the business in the near future.

Determining Insurance Premiums

A premium is the amount you pay for months Every policy has an insurance policy. There are a number of factors are determined by many insurance companies. For cars, each company uses a number of factors to determine the quantity of each customer should pay. These factors are based on statistical analysis of safety, based on prices and the likelihood that some drivers need to take to claim benefits.

If you are looking for coverage for your vehicle, it is importantto know everything that may affect your costs. You could be doing things that will cost you a lot of money in the long run without even realizing it. You also need to ask every agent you talk to about the formula his or her company uses.

Examples of Important Factors

It may not seem fair to be economically affected by statistical studies of other people, but that is simply how it works. Remember, companies are simply trying to save money so they can turn a profit. A few of the facts or characteristics that may affect your rates include:

Your vehicle. Studies have shown that people with sports cars tend to drive faster and more recklessly than other people. Thus, such cars are usually more expensive to insure. A car that costs more to repair, such as an import, will also raise your rates. Lastly, cars that are more likely to be seriously damaged in an accident, such as SUVs that may roll over, are also more costly.
Your driving record. Previous traffic violations and car accidents will reflect badly on you - even those that were not your fault. In fact, even if an accident was caused in your absence by someone who borrowed your car, it will become part of your record. If you have no driving record because you have only recently obtained a license, this will also be counted as a negative by most companies.
Your age and gender. Again, statistics show that drivers under age 25 and male drivers are more likely to take extra risks. If you are young, male, or both, you may have to pay extra for even basic coverage. Fortunately, you may also be able to reduce these costs by maintaining a good record and providing documentation of a defensive driving class.

It can be frustrating to know that factors beyond your control, or those that you were simply unaware of, can cost you more money. Fortunately, there are also steps you can take to protect your finances.

A Look at the 2012 Pole Shift

It's hard to be living in the present time and not hear about the predicted 2012 pole shift. Doomsday theorists predict that this devastating geomagnetic reversal, or a shifting of the planet's magnetic poles, will be cataclysmic. Many scientists say that this is a theory, but others swear it is going to happen. So let's take a look at the evidence for a cataclysmic pole shift so you can develop your own opinion on the matter.

The 2012 pole shift theory says that the natural north and south poles inside the earth (rather than those geographic locations plotted on the map) will shift. This shifting has happened many times before in the planet's history. Science has shown us that this flipping of the poles occurs about 4 times every million years, or approximately every 250,000 years. The fact is that the last pole shift didn't occur in human history. The last known pole shift was 780,000 years ago, long before humans roamed the lands. So you can see that we are well overdue for a pole shift event.

Some scientists point to the fact that our ice caps at the poles are melting as evidence that the earth's crust and mantle are moving in preparation for the 2012 pole shift. Scientists largely agree that the pole shift will cause radical changes on the planet, including deadly earthquakes, tidal wives and tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, typhoons, and more. When so many of these natural disasters occur in one short period of time around the earth, you can imagine the death and destruction that will take place. But this won't be the end of it. With pole reversal, everything that relies on the magnetic poles will be thrown into upheaval - from migratory birds to our own technology like cell phones, TV, and internet. Even airplanes and ships, including those which transport our food and supplies from distant locations, will not function. If you aren't read for this event, it will be devastating in more ways than one.

Other theorists suggest that a planet, known as Planet X, will pass close enough to the earth to disrupt its magnetic poles and cause the shifting of the poles. There are many theories out there that look at various causes for a polar shift, but they all seem to arrive at the same date of 2012. The fact is that the earth gave little indication of such an event in the past, and it will surprise those who aren't prepared for it when it happens again in 2012. The evidence is there for the 2012 event if you look for it. And the only way you will survive such a cataclysmic event, or a series of natural disasters, that are predicted for 2012 is to be prepared to fend yourself and live off the land.

Take steps now to prepare yourself for the 2012 pole shift. If you want to live to survive through this natural upheaval, the only way you are going to make it is to be able to live off the land and take precautionary steps now.

California Car Insurance - What Is New?

Is there anything different about California car insurance and car insurance in other states? In most countries, you are not allowed to drive on a public road, until you purchase a car policy. In the United States of America, each state has its own set of rules and penalties for not owning an auto policy. These penalties generally involve a huge fine, suspension or revocation of license, and in some states, some time in a jail.

Third Party Insurance

The minimum insurance that you need to take as per the law is the third party insurance. This type of policy protects the third party, if there is any financial loss, injury, or the vehicle has caused damage. The cover against your loss or damage to your vehicle is optional. It has been proven that the fear of having to shell out large sums of money in damages makes people better drivers!

Calculation Of Premium

Every one these days is looking for the cheapest car policy. In fact, cheapest online auto insurance has many takers. Before you go looking for California car insurance options, first you need to understand what factors determine the rate of policy premiums. Some of these factors are:

Gender- Surprisingly, rates are tilted in favor of women, especially young women. It has been shown that young women drivers have a lower incidence of accident involvement, so they get a 'women's discount'. However, Adult women get no such discount.

Age- Teenage drivers or first time drivers have to pay higher premiums. It has been observed that, premiums are lowest at the age of 25. Senior citizens are also offered some discounts. However, these rules are not uniform.

Distance- There are some companies that consider the average distance you drive, or the mileage that you cover, to calculate your premium. You are rewarded for driving less.

Car Insurance In The United States

In the United States, if a family member comes of age and starts driving; his /her name must be added on to the existing policy. If you drive someone else's vehicle, you come under that person's policy, irrespective of what your own personal policy reads.

Since all states follow their own rules regarding car indemnity, Florida car insurance can be priced higher than say, in California.

To get cheapest rates, you need to look around and go for the policy that offers you the best rates.

Distributive Justice and Assisted Reproductive Technology

Distributive justice does not imply that everyone should have equal access to everything all the time. This would be an extreme position and lead to severe distortions in availability of medical services. Competing needs must be balanced fairly and opportunities to access medical care must be equitable. In the American health care marketplace, however, the bioethical principle of distributive justice receives lip service only. In America, when it comes to health care, minimal attention is paid to matters of fairness.

For example, assisted reproductive technologies (ART) have been generally available since the early 1980s. In recent years more than 100,000 in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures are performed annually. But IVF costs - typically ranging between $15,000 and $25,000 - are rarely covered by insurance plans. Infertile couples wishing to have children need to pay for IVF out of their own pockets. National statistics indicate that for women younger than age 35, 41% of IVF procedures result in a live birth. For women between ages 35 and 37, 31% of IVFs result in a live birth. So it's likely that many couples will need to undergo at least two rounds of IVF, spending a minimum of $30,000 and possibly more than $50,000 in attempts to have a family.

As the median household income in the United States was approximately $50,000 in 2008, it's obvious that very few families can afford what reproductive medicine has to offer. This harsh reality implies that the vast majority of families that could benefit from ART are denied access because the procedures are out of reach financially. Infertile couples in the middle and lower economic classes may be working two jobs and contributing substantially to the welfare of their communities, but still have no chance to flourish as a family and raise children of their own.

This is economic favoritism of the worst kind. The rich get richer, literally. It's a simple calculus. If you're an infertile couple with plenty of discretionary capital, you can undergo IVF and have a child. Infertile couples who can't afford the price of admission are out of luck. Fertility clinics accept cash, checks, and credit cards. Their front desk people are happy to "discuss financing options" with potential clients. But if you don't have sufficient funds you shouldn't even bother showing up for the first appointment. The fertility business is a prime example of the transformation of American medical priorities from patient care to financial transactions.

Distributive justice doesn't mandate that all infertile couples have equal access. But the principle does require that some couples without the financial wherewithal be able to undergo IVF. Fertility clinics should be required to provide a specific minimum of annual pro bono procedures. Federal funds should be available to provide IVF services to additional couples. Access to funding could be based on a national lottery. There are many solutions. What's needed is the will to put some flesh on the bones of distributive justice. It's the right thing to do.

Our Democracy is Doomed

Our democracy is doomed because voters and elected officeholders are solely concerned with their own self interests.

Professor Alexander Taylor's prediction, in the 1780s, that democracies can't last was prescient. He maintained that "[Democracy] can only exist until voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasury. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the results that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship."

Doesn't this describe what is happening in the United States today? Haven't we voted to use money from the public treasury for Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment insurance, subsidized housing, and student loans that are fiscally unsustainable? Currently, there are plans for a national health insurance program; another potential government boondoggle.

The loophole in the Constitution, not providing term limits for public office, allows individuals to make a career of politics. A career, as a member of Congress, has become attractive because of the financial benefits, the media attention, and the generous perks. The cost of campaigning for office in Congress has increased steadily to the point that candidates must raise millions of dollars to run for membership in this elite club. Money has become the essential ingredient to enter the election process, thereby reducing competition against incumbents. The other manifestation of this sad state of affairs is the increase in the length of time campaigns are conducted. Incumbents spend more and more time away from their offices raising money and campaigning. Legislators fulfilling obligations to campaign contributors are compromising their duties of office. Special interests have seized the representation owed constituents. Career politicians, to preserve their jobs, harm this nation in many ways i.e. wasteful earmarks, gerrymandering, voting the party line, hindering confirmation of presidential nominees, and filibustering worthwhile legislation. One of their most destructive, vote-getting activities is pandering to voters' zeal for public funds by passing entitlement programs that will bankrupt this nation.

One method of stopping the destructive momentum that is transforming this Republic is to limit the terms of public office. There are only a few procedures for establishing constitutional term limits and all are nearly impossible to accomplish.

· A Constitutional Amendment is realistically unachievable. When there were only 13 states, the Founders of this country purposely made passing amendments difficult. Difficult became insurmountable now that there are 50 states.
· In Article V of the Constitution, there is a provision for convening a Constitutional Convention. Members of Congress will not approve a constitutional convention that would limit their careers. To date, Congress has never approved a Constitutional Convention.
· States are unable to limit the terms of office of their federal representatives and senators following the 1995 Supreme Court decision of U.S. v. Thornton.
· Lastly, there is the extremely remote possibility that the Supreme Court would hear and rule in favor of a case seeking term limits on the basis that members of Congress are representing themselves rather than representing their constituents and/ or states as specified in the Constitution.

Admittedly, there is satisfaction of circulating humorous and critical emails about current events and politicians, but realistically they have little effect. There isn't any possibility of convincing incumbents to end their careers. Nor, is there any chance of persuading a majority of citizens not to support candidates, who bring entitlement programs to them.

It is agonizing watching short sighted citizens and career politicians slowly smother this wonderful nation. I realize that my well intentioned effort to reform the government was an impossible dream. My attempts to persuade Americans to change can be compared to my chances of winning the lottery; but I did buy a ticket. It is a pity that future generations won't enjoy the quality of life and freedoms that I enjoyed.

Sadly, in the face of these incontrovertible facts, I'm ending my quest to make this a more perfect union, by discarding the Democracy Conservative Foundation, abandoning its web site, and discontinuing my weekly blogs. Thanks for your support. I wish all of you the very best.

Private Health Insurance Coverage

Private health insurance is simply insurance coverage provided by insurance policy providers not run by the government. More specifically, it refers to the policy provider as a corporation that does not receive subsidy from the government for its activities. A private insurance company is just like any other business, in this respect. It gives more access to private hospitals which may be better than the state-run. It also gives the policy holder more choices in doctors. This article will give you an overview of the kind of coverage a private health insurance offers.

The premium

The premium is the amount you have to pay every month for the policy provider to keep your account active. This amount entitles you to the benefits of your policy. These can vary in size, depending on the results of your screening, the size of your initial payment to the insurance company, and other factors.

The deductible

The deductible is the initial amount you are required to pay in case of hospitalization before your policy coverage sets in. Occasionally, this is designated as a dollar amount, but can be designated by a particular number of days in the hospital as well. Usually, this kind of policy requires that you be confined in a particular hospital. If your policy has a $1,000 deductible, that means you must pay $1,000 in medical expenses before the coverage takes effect.

The relationship of the deductible to the premium is simple: the lower the premium, the higher the deductible, and vice-versa. For example, it is entirely possible for a policy to provide you two differing policies: one that may have a $10 premium with a $1,000 deductible, and another policy with a $30 premium and a $500 deductible. At this point, you must decide for yourself which policy will be more advantageous for you.

Private Investigators - The Fundamental Facts

If you want to find out about someone's life without their notion, be it regarding a case work, about kidnapping, to collect evidence of illegal conduct by your partner, or anything that you need to know, a private investigator can do that for you. A private investigator, or PI, is a person who does investigations for a private citizen or some other entity not involved with a government or police organization.

What do they do?

Private investigators investigate cyber crimes such as identity theft, illegal downloading of copyrighted material, and harassing e-mails. Many insurance companies hire them to resolve claims. They also investigate cases dealing with civil liability and personal injury cases, child custody and protection cases, insurance claims and fraud, premarital screening, and missing person's cases. They gather information through interviews, investigation and surveillance, and research, including review of public documents.

Many of these private investigators often specialize in a particular field. Some may focus on intellectual property theft, for example, they help clients stop illegal activity, investigate and document acts of piracy, and provide intelligence for prosecution and civil action, where others may deal in developing financial profiles and asset searches.

These investigators are always required to keep detailed notes, and they have to be prepared to testify in court regarding any of the investigations carried out by them. To carry out investigations, they may use various types of surveillance or searches; however they cannot go out of the law, otherwise they can lose their licenses as well as face criminal charges. Private investigators assist attorneys, businesses, and the public, with legal, financial, and personal problems.

Qualifications required:

There are basically no formal education requirements to become a private detective and investigator, though some do have college degrees. Many choose to become a private investigator after their retirement from the military, Federal intelligence jobs, or government auditing and investigative positions. There are many other people who enter this profession from such diverse fields such as accounting, finance, commercial credit, insurance, investigative reporting, and law. Only a few enter the occupation directly after graduation from college, doing a bachelor degree in criminal justice or police science.

Know your Investigator:

There are hundreds of private investigators, so you have to be careful while choosing one for your work. You have to find out from people around you, and it's a good idea to get acquainted with the industry by asking lots of questions. Sometimes you just have to follow your instinct, and also rely upon impressions you get from interviewing the detective as to whether or not you need him, why you need him, and so on.

There are some things that you need to check about the detective before hiring him:

o His license

o His past experience

o His specialties

If he holds a good record and you think you can trust him, then he is the one for you.

Military Veteran's Who Abuse The System

I have became so frustrated with the system which advocates for military veterans. I continually work within the military veteran community only to view how many people who actually work within this system do not care about military veterans. One would think this is enough to become frustrated, but there is more. What's even more frustrating is viewing the military veterans who abuse the very system which abuses them.

There are military veterans who abuse the system. This is performed with not caring how many other veterans truly need the aid as well as services provided, due to military veterans abusing the system, this creates a backlog which holds up aid to military veterans who are in dire need of help. What I speak of in this instance are military veterans who are constantly in and out of the drug and alcohol rehab programs. I do understand that people whether military veterans or other groups of people can suffer relapses, but when I continually view these particular veterans entering and exiting out of drug rehab sponsored by the "Veteran Affairs", this informs me they are not serious about truly escaping drug and alcohol abuse, they are merely concerned with having a place to go as well as a roof over their head when they hit rock bottom.

This is of course compiled with "VA Employees" who do not genuinely care about aiding veterans and are merely there drawing a government paycheck as well as benefits. I feel that our country can not truly care about the veteran community until veterans as a whole start caring about themselves. I am not stating that the majority of veterans are lazy bums nor am I stating that majority wise they do not care, but there is that minority that screws everything up for the "good" ones. I feel military veterans are very moralistic, proud people, whether they are male or female. Most military veterans do not even want to utilize the "Veteran Affairs Medical Center", for obvious reasons, but they do not have a choice due to high costs of insurance rates as well as many other expenses, basically veterans do what they have to do, in order to receive medical care. It's the lowlife's which consist in all groups of people who continually abuse the systems who should first and foremost be ashamed of themselves, but then again, when one is tweaked out on drugs or alcohol or both, caring is not a priority.

Something else that really makes me see "red", is while these "bums" are blatantly abusing the system, they will be the first ones to stand on self-made soapboxes and scream "I"m a veteran and YOU owe me"! I have news for these bums, I personally do not owe them anything, for I have served my time, I feel that where our nation should be grateful and treat veterans better, one only deserves respect and honor from our civilian population only when we act in a way which deserves respect and honor. We veterans should hold ourselves to a higher standard, reason why? We have represented our country and to lower ourselves to demeaning behavior as well as becoming career criminals or drug addicts as well as abusers of alcohol is a disgrace to the service most speak so highly of. Do I not understand that life is cruel sometimes and people in general screw up? Of course this happens, but where is the line drawn on obtaining the knowledge that one has to straighten their lives out and stop believing that you are excused for this behavior on the sole excuse that you are a military veteran.

Our country does owe we veterans a lot. Do we get what we deserve? Of course not, this is even more the reason to not abuse the system. Veterans are dealing with a system that is seriously backlogged as well as uncaring, one should understand that the "Veteran Affairs" is not an advocacy group, they are a Federal Entity which has been deemed by "Congress" to oversee affairs for our military veterans, in fact, all funds allotted to the "Veteran Affairs" is channeled directly from Congress, therefore, veterans need to understand that sometimes particular monies are not available due to budget cuts, this should wake up all veterans in knowing that sometimes veterans do not get the help they need due to particular slots not being open in particular programs, which is due to veterans abusing the system.

I say we need to weed out these bums and start placing limitations on their many returns to our drug and alcohol rehab's within the "Veteran Affairs Medical Centers". When a veteran is discharged clean and sober, I feel that they should have to stay away for at least a year, as far as the drug/alcohol abuse is concerned, if they decide to get high or begin abusing alcohol once again, force them to go to the local rehab's and forced them to pay out of their own pocket's, this might be a wakeup call for these people.

I'm tired of viewing people who are not abuser's of the system being turned away, merely because they do not know the ins/outs of the system. Let's hope the "Veteran Affairs" wises up to this crisis soon, especially in knowing of the huge wave of veterans coming back from the current war, we have to make room for these kids coming back, they need our help, and I personally do not want to see them turned away because someone is spending their fifth stay in the drug/alcohol rehab center in two years, it's not fair, it's not sane. If you want to be a proud veteran, then lead the life where one can be proud of, do not scream everyone owes you, for our country has proved how they owe us nothing, even more importantly, life itself owes us nothing, but we on the otherhand, owe everything to life. I wish more veterans would contemplate the true meaning of honor and respect as well as pride, if they did, they would not be the bums which abuse the very system which abuses them.

A Very Controversial Article

As Bubba and I took our morning trek, we were passed by three males on bicycles who said "good morning" in very broken English. This started a walk down memory lane for me.

When I first moved to here, over twenty years ago, this was just a small, sleepy town on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. We had two supermarkets, one 'strip mall', and a feed store ten miles inland in an area simply called 'the farms'. The Elementary School went to the eighth grade. My sons' High School graduating class consisted of three hundred students. As you walked along the river bank, you would see small boats and canoes tied to the shore. It did not matter if the boat was there for a day or a month, because anything left in it would still be there when the owner returned.

Our river was 'discovered' by northerners. Huge multi-million dollar mausoleums were built along our river banks, with high fences and electronic gates. Two people sometimes live in these four thousand to five thousand square feet marble and granite 'homes'. Now there are only certain public access areas where one can go down to the river. Every where else is fenced off for private use.

Huge condos were also built along the river bank. The beaches in front of these condos were declared to be 'private beach - for use by condo owners and guests only'. Well, we had a few hurricanes last year. The beach in front of these condos eroded to dangerous proportions. Now the condo associations are asking the state to help build retaining walls. The public was not allowed to use the beach, but is expected to help pay for the retaining walls.

A lot of unskilled laborers were used to build these monstrosities. By unskilled, I mean illegal aliens were brought in to help build them. These unskilled laborers were paid 'off the books'. No taxes were paid for them by the contractors, and consequently they paid no taxes either. They still do not pay any taxes. These laborers brought brothers and cousins to our little town.

Recently, my town built a special building for these illegal aliens to register for work. Previously they were lining the streets, waiting for people to drive by and hire them. Over seven hundred and fifty men showed up on opening day to register. The next day, another three hundred showed up. On the following days, the women went to register. Do the math. Over one thousand illegal aliens live in my town now.

I recently took a friend to the county's main health facility. Of the over one thousand people there that morning, 99.9% only spoke Spanish. They were registering their pregnant wives and children for medical, WIC, food stamps, and every other free service offered by my state. They still pay no taxes.

Our town started growing by leaps and bounds. We now have many national chains with stores located here. The only one I want to focus in on is Wal-Mart. When Wal-Mart was allowed to come here, it quickly put every mom and pop store out of business. The sign, when you walked in, proudly declared "Proud To Sell American Made Products."

It is now impossible to find any product in Wal-Mart that is made in America. Manufactures, which wanted to sell to Wal-Mart, were forced to go overseas to manufacture their products. Wal-Mart had a bidding war. The lowest bid got the contract. Quality did not matter. The bottom line did. Sometimes the lowest bid was only one-half a cent cheaper than the next bidder.

Wal-Mart, when hiring new employees, gives training sessions. One of these training sessions, given within the first week of employment, is how to apply and receive welfare from the state.
Wal-Mart announced, recently, they would not prosecute any shoplifter with twenty-five Dollars ($25) or less in merchandise. I found this to be obscene. To me, this said - we are making so much money by paying only minimum wages and not paying employees that get hurt on the job, that we need the tax write off. So, the first $25 worth of merchandise is free to any and all customers.

When I mentioned Wal-Mart did not pay employees hurt on the job, I am talking about disability. Wal-Mart was 'self insured'. The law, in my state, said all claims had to be settled in two years. The employee was entitled to two-thirds of their salary until the claim settled. All doctors would be paid by the company's insurance. Because Wal-Mart was self insured, they did not pay the doctor bills, the two-third salary or anything else the law said the injured party was entitled to. Wal-Mart waited until the end of the two-year period, and then would go to court and fight the claim. It was cheaper for them to pay lawyers than to pay the injured parties. Many states found out about this practice and forced Wal-Mart to get outside insurance for its employees. I know not all fifty states have done this, so Wal-Mart still gets away with not paying injured employees.

As anyone reading this might guess, I am not a fan of Wal-Mart, nor of illegal aliens. I recently saw an interview with an illegal alien. This person stated he was using someone else's social security number and paying taxes on it. This person worked, bought a home, purchased a car and thought it was ok because he was contributing to the other persons social security. I called this identity theft.

Some people might disagree with what I have written. That is ok. We are all entitled to our opinion on matters. I have simply stated mine.

Her servant Hemraj who was initially suspected by the police was also found murdered on the terrace of her building. A disorganized, confused investigation by the Noida Police led to the arrest of Arushi's dentist father Rajesh Talwar. Rajesh's wife Dr. Nupur Talwar protested that her husband was frame and requested the UP government to transfer the case to CBI. The team finally arrested accused Krishna, Rajkumar and Vijay Mandal in connection with the murdered and absolved Rajesh Talwar of the murder charge. On August 9 2008, CBI director Ashwani Kumar said that the case is still unsolved, as many important corroborative pieces of evidence yet to be found. This was one murder case which was played to the top by the media and police; both whom were later blamed to giving hasty conclusion and indulging in character assassination of the slain Arushi and her father.

Life Critical Illness Insurance

Life critical illness is the often used search term for a life assurance policy which has critical illness cover as a built-in option. The majority of people taking out a mortgage in the UK will take out a life assurance policy. They do this because they do not want their debt to be passed on to a partner if they were to die before the mortgage was paid off.

This is perfectly good advice. Who would honestly want their partner to risk losing their home because they could not afford the mortgage on just one salary? The minority of people who don't see the sense of life insurance often say that they would simply sell the property if their partner died and could not afford to maintain the mortgage on one salary. Where would they go next? What could they afford on one salary? What kind of a price would they have to sell the property at given the current market conditions?

Life assurance doesn't cost much. Why risk losing a home? Statistically though, premature death before the end of the mortgage isn't all that likely. You are, however far more likely to suffer a critical illness. Cancer Research alone states that you have a 1 in 3 chance of being diagnosed with some form of cancer before age 65.

Strangely enough though, people tend to favour life insurance over life critical illness insurance. Why? Cost is the answer. If you are unlikely to die prematurely before the end of the mortgage then your premiums will be lower. £150000 to a 30 year man doesn't cost much at all so an insurance policy is seen as good advice and acceptable to the budget. Life critical illness however, costs a good bit more simply because statistics say that you are far more likely to claim.

Life insurance is usually good advice to a couple but not necessarily so to a single person buying a property. The best advice for both is to see what they can afford and make sure that some form of life critical illness cover is recommended.
